Bruins Fall to St. Luke's

Brunswick watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-2 loss to St. Luke’s on Friday.

St. Luke’s scored one run in the first inning and another one in the second inning. The Storm also added three runs in the fifth inning.

Nicholas Bianco started the game for the Bruins and lasted four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out five. Josh Feldman threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen and allowed two runs on four hits, while striking out three.

The Bruins had two rallies late in the game that fell short. In the bottom of the sixth, ’Wick pushed one run across on Boston Flannery’s sacrifice fly. ’Wick reloaded the bases and couldn’t take advantage, striking out and stranding three runners on base.

Again, in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Bruins loaded the bases again but couldn’t push across any runs, leaving three more runners on base to end the game.

The Bruins look to bounce back on Saturday with a double header on the road against Poly Prep. The first pitch of game one is set for 10 a.m.
