Flannery Fans 17 in FAA Victory

Boston Flannery pitched the Bruins to a 3-0 victory over GFA Tuesday afternoon — as the righty lasted all seven innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out 17 and walking zero.

It was a pitchers’ duel until the bottom of the 5th inning when Brunswick broke the scoreless tie. Adonys Guzman singled up the middle to center field, and the next batter, Michael Yeager, was hit by a pitch. Josh Feldman reached on an error and loaded the bases. Captain Cole Mascolo came up with two outs and hit a single to center field, scoring A. Guzman and Yeager to make it a 2-0 game. Feldman scored on a wild pitch to run the score to 3-0.

The Bruins’ defense was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.

Brunswick moves to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in FAA league play. The Bruins have some time off but will be back firing next Thursday at home against Citius Prep.
