Bruins Win Crosstown Meeting

An early lead helped Brunswick defeat Greenwich Country Day School by a score of 11-2 on Monday afternoon.

Going into the bottom of the first inning, Brunswick was down 1-0, but Riley Redahan scored on a single by Michael Yeager to tie the game at one. Another single by Boston Flannery scored Adonys Guzman and Yeager to make it a 3-1 game in the first inning.

The Bruins tallied four runs in the sixth inning thanks to Josh Feldman, a groundout by Sam Sealy, and a double by Guzman that scored two runs.

Feldman was the winning pitcher for the Bruins. The senior hurler allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out 11. Sealy threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen and recorded the last three outs of the game.

’Wick saw the ball well today, racking up 10 hits in the game. Feldman and Flannery both had three hits to lead the team. Yeager added two stolen bases, as the Bruins ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases. The defense was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
