Two Brunswick seniors — Warren Klein and Lucas Pombo — were announced as finalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.
High school juniors are automatically entered into the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). To become a finalist, semifinalists must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, receive an endorsement/recommendation from their high school principal, and earn SAT scores that confirm their previous test performances.
Semifinalists must also submit an essay and detailed application, which demonstrate their participation and leadership in their schools and communities.
“Warren and Lucas are outstanding scholars, of course, but they are also distinguished leaders and participants in other areas of Brunswick life,” Head of School Thomas W. Philip said. “They are so deserving of this national recognition and are wonderful representatives of our school community.”
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation will begin announcing scholarship winners in April.
