The Bruins defeated San Ramon Valley High School by a score of 12-7 on Friday night to qualify for the top four in the Santa Barbara Invitational.
The Bruins jumped out to a quick lead in the first, with a goal from JP Ohl (assisted by Vilas Sogaard) a minute into the game. Sogaard assisted two more goals in the first, one to Ivey Gehring and another to Ohl, as the Bruins took a 3-2 advantage. Ohl and Sogaard both struck again to give the Bruins 5-3 lead at the half.
Brunswick outscored the Wolves 8-4 in the second half, as Ryan Ohl tallied five goals to push the offensive attack.
Ryan Miele played a strong game in net, registering 10 saves.
The Bruins will play Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, Calif.) in the semi-final game at 9:05 a.m. PST on Saturday.
