Brunswick’s Upper School math team took first place among 19 small schools in the state competition, held virtually on April 7.
Senior Will Berkley; junior Seth Yoo; sophomore William Ewald; and freshmen Ajay Bagaria, Andrew Tu, and Robert Ulmer led the Bruins to victory in the season’s culminating match.
Tu earned a perfect score, answering all 18 questions correctly.
“We've had an extraordinary influx of talent from the Middle School in the last two years, and our greatest density of talent is in the 9th and 10th grades,” said Michael Allwood, chair of the math department and leader of the math team.
“This bodes incredibly well for the next two or three years!”
