Brunswick’s Will Forrest finished off a pass from Michael Salandra to net the game-winning goal in overtime at Lawrenceville on Wednesday, 4-3. The victory is the sixth-straight for the Bruins (17-4-2), currently ranked 10th in the latest USHR.com weekly prep poll.
Brunswick took a 3-1 lead early in the second period, as Jakob Teply netted a power-play marker in each of the first two stanzas.
The Big Red closed out the second frame with a pair of goals, knotting the game at three goals apiece.
Following a scoreless third period, the teams prepared for a five-minute OT session. Brunswick kept up the offensive pressure, drawing a Lawrenceville penalty to set-up Forrest’s game-winner from the slot with 3:13 remaining in the extra session.
For the game, the Bruins peppered the Big Red goalie with 41 shots on goal.
