'Wick Wrestlers Win Invitational Tournament

Brunswick collected 356 team points to win the 45th Brunswick Invitational Tournament (BIT) on Saturday. The Bruins more than doubled the points of second-place Northfield Mount Hermon (177). Brunswick, winners of last year’s BIT, won its own tournament for the 20th time dating back to 1976.
 
Northfield Mount Hermon’s Owen Finn was named Outstanding Wrestler.
 
The Bruins won eight of 14 individual weight classes, with victors including William MacGillivray (128), Alex Burdick (184), Clayton Ostrover (197), Michael Neviera (222), and Cliff Belknap (HWT). Chris Perry (140) and Nick Bell (154) are repeat winners, as Perry (132) and Bell (145) won titles a year ago. Will Donovan, a winner at 162 this year, was a winner at 99-pounds back in 2017.
 
Other top-four Brunswick finishers included Kyle Pagnani (2nd 108), Enzo Vera (3rd 108), Michael Accetta (2nd 122), Emil Sogaard-Srikrishnan (3rd 122), Jackson Wolfram (2nd 134), Luke Schlank (4th 134), Jojo McCurdy (3rd 140), Luca Errico (2nd 147), Kyle Karas (4th 147), Nadji Ngbokoli (2nd 172), Samuel Guadalupe (3rd 184), Dante White (3rd 197), Andrew Shaffer (2nd 222), and NaShawn Livingston (4th HWT).
 
As a team, the Bruins led the tournament with 14 finalists, 22 top-four finishers, 49 wins, and 35 pins.
