Basketball Plays Three Games in Two Days

Brunswick travelled to Phillips Exeter for three games over two days, as the Bruins went 0-3 at the 2019 NEPSAC Class A Winter Classic. On Friday, Brunswick lost to both St. Paul’s (77-49) and Williston Northampton (77-50), as the Bruins completed play on Saturday with a setback to Deerfield, 60-48.
 
In Friday’s first game, the Big Red connected on six three-pointers in the first half, as St. Paul’s took a 42-27 lead into the break. Brunswick could not close the gap in the second half, falling 77-49. James Sealy led the Bruins with a career-best 18 points, as Khari Wilson added 10 and Kevonne Wilder chipped in seven points.
 
Later on Friday, Brunswick fell to Williston Northampton, 77-50. Colin Mulshine led the Bruins with 15 points in the loss. Wilson added a baker’s dozen, while Dan Arnold and Sealy scored seven points apiece.
 
In the third and final game for Brunswick, the Bruins faced Deerfield on Saturday. Brunswick held a slim lead at the intermission, 31-29, as Wilson netted 12 of a team-high 15 points in the first frame. Deerfield outscored the Bruins in the second half, 31-17, as Brunswick fell, 60-48.
 
The Bruins (2-6) return to action on January 7, as Brunswick hosts FAA foe St. Luke’s.
