Brunswick wrapped up its second game at the Phillips Exeter Invitational, tying the host school on Sunday, 3-3. The Bruins went 1-0-1 over the weekend, posting a 5-2 win over New Hampton on Saturday.
After a scoreless first period, Exeter (5-1-1) scored a power-play goal just over three minutes into the second stanza.
Less than a minute after the opening goal, Brunswick’s Andon Cerbone tied the game at one apiece on an unassisted tally. Later, the Bruins (1-2-1) took the lead on a Beanie Richter marker with 7:15 remaining in the second period.
Nearly two minutes following the go-ahead goal by Brunswick, Exeter knotted the game at 2-2, capping the second period scoring.
Exeter regained the lead with 11:37 remaining in the third period, but the Bruins netted the equalizer with 3:39 remaining in regulation, as the teams would head to a five-minute overtime session tied at 3-3.
Neither team notched the game-winning tally in the scoreless extra session, as the game ended deadlocked at three goals apiece.
