Soccer Falls to Unbeaten South Kent

Brunswick fell to unbeaten South Kent on the road on Saturday, 5-2. The Bruins drop to 6-5-1 on the season, while the Cardinals improve to 12-0.
 
South Kent tallied a trio of first half markers for a 3-0 lead at intermission.
 
In the 53rd minute, following a Cardinal corner kick, the Bruins mounted a counter attack that led to their first goal. Brunswick’s John Dunn found Mike Huber, as Huber took a touch and sent a long pass to Nico Montoni near midfield. Montoni won the ball between a pair of Cardinal defenders and streaked towards the South Kent goal, beating the South Kent keeper, bottom-right, for the goal.
 
South Kent answered with goals at the 58th and 67th minutes of action, building a 5-1 advantage.
 
In the 78th minute, Henry Foster netted a penalty kick tally for the final goal of the contest.
 
Brunswick’s Eric Meindl made seven saves in net for the visitors.
