Brunswick wrapped up the fall season with an impressive second-place finish by the 1V boat at in the Men’s High School Eights at the Head of the Schuylkill on Sunday in Philadelphia.
Competing against 68 other club and high school entries, Brunswick finished the 2.5-mile downstream course in 12:50.308, less than one second faster than the third-place boat, as RowAmerica Rye took first place with a time of 12:26.730. The Bruins set the fastest time among 26 high school entries.
The 2V Eight posted a fifth-place in their division that also featured Brunswick’s Third (25th) and Fourth Eights (60th) in the of 71-boat field.
The Brunswick Freshmen Eight finished fifth against 55 other entries in the freshman/novice division.
