Unbeaten South Kent broke a scoreless tie in the 83rd minute with a goal against Brunswick, as the visitors held on for a 1-0 win on Caputo Field on Saturday. The setback to the 9-0-4 Cardinals ended a six-game winning streak for the Bruins (6-4-2).
The lone tally also snapped a 613-minute run of scoreless soccer for the Bruins’ defense, one that included five-straight shut-out victories.
Brunswick was outshot 11-5 on the afternoon, as Erik Meindl made nine saves in goal for the Bruins.
Brunswick returns to action on Friday, October 26, with a road game at King.
