Brunswick went 5-1 in the final FAA regular season meet of 2018, as a pair of Bruins posted top 10 finishes at the race held at Sherwood Island on Wednesday. The Bruins (15-3) will race in the FAA Championship on Monday, October 29, followed by the New England Championship on November 10.
A defeat by Hopkins (19-40) was the lone blemish for Brunswick, as the Bruins knocked off Greens Farms (25-32), Masters (24-31), Rye CDS (24-31), King (23-32) and St. Luke’s (17-42).
Brunswick’s Kyle Raker (18:20.8) finished fourth overall, edging a Rye CDS runner at the tape by less than a second, while teammate Chris Ramos was sixth (18:39.6).
Rounding out the top five finishers for the Bruins were: Matty Goodman (13th), Ryan Heinzerling (27th) and Charlie Ciporin (28th).
