The Bruins went 5-1 against FAA competition on Wednesday at Sherwood Island, but the lone setback to Hopkins halted an FAA win streak of 83 contests that started back in 2014.
Brunswick dispatched Masters, King, Greens Farms, RCDS, and St. Lukes. Unfortunately, Brunswick’s eight racers could not stop Hopkins from earning its first team win over the Bruins in a decade.
The 83-race streak is the second longest in the program's history, as the Bruins own winning streaks of 97 and 75 during the 1996-2005 era.
Kyle Raker led all Brunswick runners with a fourth-place finish, as Matty Goodman was seventh. Chris Ramos (12), Ryan Heinzerling (14), Charlie Ciporin (23), and Nick Wolanske (36) rounded out the top six Bruins.
