Brunswick topped Hackley on Monday by three strokes, halting a 47-match unbeaten streak by the Hornets that dates back to the start of the 2016 season. The 198-201 victory at the Bedford Golf and Tennis Club gives the Bruins a 17-3 overall record.
Brunswick countered a remarkable individual effort by a Hackley golfer that shot a stunning 31, with five solid results, including Lance Johnson’s 36. Matty Dzialga carded a 39, as Connor Belcastro followed with a 40. Charlie Marvin finished with a 41 and Matt Camel was one shot behind, shooting a 42 on the course.
Up next for Brunswick is the Western New England Prep Invitational on Wednesday, May 9, at Bulls Bridge GC in South Kent, Conn.
