On Monday, Brunswick split its team to play a pair of matches and won both events. One contingent bested Masters at Bedford Golf & Tennis Club by a 6-0 score in individual play, while five Bruins topped Portledge in aggregate scoring (196-231) at Piping Rock Club on Long Island. With the two wins, Brunswick improves to 9-1.
At Bedford, Brunswick swept all six individual matches with Patrick Kulesh (5&4), Alex Rohlf (5&4), and Tyler Eichmann (4&3) emerging victorious in their respective varsity debuts. Connor Belcastro (4&2), Lance Johnson (3&2) and Matty Dzialga (2&1) completed the 6-0 sweep for the Bruins, as Kulesh medaled with a two-over par 38.
In aggregate play at Piping Rock, the Bruins’ five-score 196 bested Portledge's 231, as co-captain Matt Camel and Ben Carpenter scored matching 38’s to earn a medal. Brunswick co-captain Thomas VanBelle, Mihir Chinai, and Aaron Aboodi each carded a 40.
