Brunswick scored four goals in the first, second, and fourth quarters en route to a 12-6 win at Lawrenceville on Wednesday. The Bruins, ranked third in the nation, improve to 7-0 with the non-conference victory.
Four different Bruins scored in the first quarter, as Xander Dickson collected a goal and two assists, while Christian Ronda had a goal and one helper.
Owning a 4-1 lead after the first quarter, Brunswick added four more in the next frame to take an 8-3 lead into the half. Dickson and Ronda added two assists apiece for the Bruins in the second quarter.
Lawrenceville notched the lone goal in the third quarter, as the Big Red headed into the fourth trailing 8-4.
Brunswick’s Cooper Moore opened the fourth quarter with a goal to boost the Bruins’ lead to 9-4. Following Jack Ocken’s second tally for Brunswick, Moore collected a hat-trick goal off a Dickson assist. Dickson followed with his sixth assist on the day, feeding Jack Montinaro for Brunswick’s final goal.
Trailing 12-4, Lawrenceville scored the last two goals of the game for the 12-6 final.
Brunswick goalie Patrick Burkinshaw made eight saves for Brunswick, and Jordan Ginder won 19/20 face-offs.
The Bruins return to action with a home game on Friday, April 20, against in-town foe Greenwich High School at 7:00 p.m.
