On Valentine's Day, Brunswick finished eighth at the 2018 NEPSAC Class B Alpine Ski Championships. Held at Gunstock Mountain in Guilford, N.H., the Bruins totaled 137 points in the combined slalom and giant slalom, while the overall winner Milton finished with 40 points.
In the slalom, the Bruins finished second out of 14 teams with 28 points, as Jose Riera took fourth overall with a two-run time of 1:14.37. Ian Murray added 10th-place finish (1:17.68) for Brunswick, while Ethan Hynes was 14th (1:20.10). Two other Bruins competed, as Ryan Heinzerling finished 46th and Harry Dahl was 56th out of 68 competitors.
Brunswick missed out of a higher overall finish, as three racers posted DNF results in the giant slalom. Murray led the Bruins with a seventh-place finish (1:14.23), while Dahl finished 33rd (1:28.43). Riera and Hynes both posted top-15 finishes on their second run down the slope, but did not finish the course on their respective first run.
