Brunswick won two of three weapons against Masters, topping the Panthers by a 16-11 score in a home match on Maher Avenue on Tuesday. The win boosts the Bruins to a 2-1 mark. Brunswick won the sabre (7-2) and the foil (8-1), while dropping the epee to Masters (8-1).
John Lin picked up his second 6-0 performance on the season, as the eighth-grader garnered matching 3-0 victories in the sabre and foil. while George Burke (sabre) and Cameron Evans (foil) also went 3-0 for Brunswick.
Despite the 8-1 overall setback in the epee, six of the nine bouts extended to 4-4, as the winner of the next touch would take the bout.
The Bruins return to action on Valentine’s Day, travelling to Hackley for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
