Basketball Picks Up League Win at Hopkins

Brunswick halted a five-game losing streak with a 58-48 win at Hopkins on Thursday. The league win improves the Bruins’ record to 4-14 overall and 3-8 in the FAA.
 
Brunswick jumped out to a small lead over the Hilltoppers by the midway point of the first half, as the visitors took a 27-23 score into the break.
 
Hopkins (3-15, 0-12) narrowed the deficit in the opening minutes of the second half, before the Bruins countered with a burst that expanded to double-digits down the stretch.
 
For the game, the Bruins held a decisive 43-28 rebounding advantage over Hopkins, as the visitors made an impressive 18-22 shots from the charity stripe.
 
Jack Molloy netted a game-high 24 points on 6-12 shooting from the field and 10-11 from the line, as Khari Wilson chipped in 11 for the Bruins. Malloy also led the Bruins with eight rebounds.

The Bruins return home on Friday, February 8 with an FAA contest against Hamden Hall at 5:00 p.m.
