Brunswick scored goals on a power-play and shorthanded on the way to a 3-0 shutout win over Delbarton (N.J.) in Hartong Rink on Friday. The non-league win bumps the Bruins’ record to 8-7-3, while the Green Wave drops to 11-4-1 overall.
Brunswick opened the scoring on a power-play goal by Christian LeSueur at the 6:40 mark of the first period. LeSueur’s goal gives the co-captain nine tallies on the season.
In the second period, the Bruins notched a shorthanded goal at 9:30, as Ryan Carmichael netted his third goal of the season, finishing off a pass from Brendan Gregoire.
With the Bruins leading by a pair of goals in the third period, Henry Foster made it a 3-0 contest with an even-strength goal at 7:20. The goal was Foster’s first career goal for the Bruins.
Goalie Alexander Rohlf picked up the shut-out win in net for Brunswick, as the netminder made 23 saves.
The Bruins have a quick turnaround, traveling to the Hill School in Pennsylvania for a 3:00 p.m. game on Saturday, January 20.
