Jack Molloy’s career-high 23 points sparked the Bruins to a non-conference win over Storm King on Wednesday, as Brunswick beat the host Cougars, 58-55. The Bruins (2-7) return to FAA action on Friday, January 12, traveling to St. Luke’s.
In the back-and-forth game, the Bruins closed the first half with a quick run, slicing the Storm King lead to 30-26 at intermission.
Brunswick knotted the game at the midway point in the second half, as the visitors took the lead in the final minutes to pick up the road win.
Molloy finished with a career-best 23 points, shooting an impressive 10-14 from the floor, while leading the Bruins with 10 rebounds. Tristan Joseph chipped in a dozen points and five rebounds, as Harrison Caponiti grabbed nine rebounds and Graham Pierce added eight points in nine minutes of action.
For the game, the Bruins outrebounded Storm King by a 33-16 margin.
