Trailing to Taft by an early 1-0 deficit, Brunswick went on an 8-0 run, dispatching the Rhinos by an 8-2 margin on Wednesday at Hartong Rink. The win gives the Bruins an overall mark of 6-6-3.
The Bruins netted a pair of goals to regain the lead in the first period and blew the game wide open with four tallies in the second period, including Jack Forrest’s team-leading 10th goal. Christian LeSueur added the final goal of the second, giving the co-captain a team-high 19 points (8 goals, 11 assists).
In all, 18 Bruins found the scoresheet in the commanding victory, while Brunswick goalie Dan Dachille made 30 saves.
Brunswick returns to action on at Hotchkiss on Monday, January 8.
