Hockey Tops St. Andrew’s, Advances to Tourney Consolation Final
At the St. Sebastian’s Tournament on Saturday, Brunswick beat St. Andrew’s (Ontario) by a 4-1 margin to advance to the finals of the consolation round. The Bruins (4-3-1) will face Northwood at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday in Massachusetts.
In the first of two 25-minute halves, Christian LeSueur netted two goals for the Bruins, giving the senior co-captain six goals in the past four games.
Holding a 2-0 lead heading into the second half, Brunswick put the game out of reach, as fellow seniors Patrick Burkinshaw and Jack Forrest added goals in the 4-1 win.
Brunswick goalie Dan Dachille (26 saves) was strong in net once again, holding back a St. Andrew’s attack that averaged 4.4 goals per game heading into the contest.
