Brunswick played two games on Friday, losing to Choate by a 50-22 score in the opener at the Tabor Winter Classic and falling in the nightcap to Trinity-Pawling, 77-47. The Bruins (0-6) wrap-up their trip on Saturday against the host school, Tabor Academy, at 11:30 a.m.
Against Choate, the Bruins fell behind early and could not keep up with the sharp-shooting Wild Boars. Choate netted 21-41 shots from the floor (.512) including 17-26 (.654) from inside the three-point line. Muna Nwana led the Bruins with eight points, while Harrison Caponiti grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.
In game two against Trinity-Pawling, the Bruins battled the Pride in the opening frame, trailing at the break, 42-31. Following intermission, the Pride went on a decisive run, building a 20-point lead in the opening minutes and cruising to the 77-47 win.
For the Bruins, Kevonne Wilder pumped in 12 points, hitting 4-5 shots from behind the arc to lead the Brunswick offense. Graham Pierce added 10 points, and Jack Molloy collected a team-high seven rebounds.
