Hoops Falls to King on the Road

Brunswick dropped a 67-57 league game to King on Wednesday. Trailing by 13 points to start the second half, the visiting Bruins (0-4, 0-2) outscored the Vikings 34-31 in the second half and outrebounded the hosts 37-33 overall.
 
Brunswick had a solid shooting day inside the arc, netting 18-39 (.462), but knocked down just 6-25 from downtown.
 
The Vikings made up for a rough shooting day from the field, hitting just 21-59 shots overall (.356), by netting 19-30 from the charity stripe. For the game, the hosts held a decisive advantage from the line, as the Bruins sank just three out of 12 free throws on the day.
 
Jack Molloy paced the Bruins with 15 points on 7-14 shooting and swiped a team-best four steals, as Khari Wilson added 10 points for Brunswick. Harrison Caponiti added another strong performance on the glass, grabbing a team-high 10 caroms to go along with six points. Graham Pierce led the way with four assists for Brunswick, as the senior chipped in seven points.
