Three Bruins to Represent Connecticut at Ski Regional
Fresh off a remarkable ski season, Ethan Hynes, Ian Murray and Nick Blum will represent Connecticut at the New England High School Championships. The three-day event, held at Attitash Mountain in Bartlett, New Hampshire, begins on Friday, March 10. Top racers from across New England, along with skiers from several other states, are scheduled to participate.
On the opening day on Attitash Mountain, racers will be training for the slalom and giant slalom. On Saturday, the giant slalom will be run, followed by the slalom on Sunday.
Blum, a two-time all-state skier, was a consistent winner on the Mt. Southington slopes this year. Adding to a season sweep of regular season races, the senior took the top podium spot at the state championship.
Hynes, a junior who earned an all-state nod this year, and Murray, a sophomore, tied for seventh-place at the recent state championships.
