Nick Blum Takes First Place as Ski Team Wins Four More
Brunswick moved to 9-1 on the season, besting four schools on the slopes of Mt. Southington on Wednesday evening. Nick Blum took first place overall, winning his third-straight race for the Bruins with a combined, two-run time of 43:15.
Brunswick’s top six racers finished with an overall time of 284.08 seconds, beating Cheshire High (322.63), Litchfield (327.39), New Canaan (305.40) and St. Luke's (319.69).
In Blum’s first-place finish, the co-captain skied the fastest times on the course for each run, 22.26 and 20.89.
Brunswick’s Ian Murray finished sixth overall with a combined time of 45:03, while Tucker Calcano’s debut performance (46.40) garnered a 13th place result.
Brunswick returns to Mt. Southington for another event on Thursday, January 26.
