Brunswick swimmers picked up a pair of team wins on Wednesday, topping host Hamden Hall, 166-71, and Iona Prep, 157.5-108.5. The Bruins (3-0) won nine events on the day, including two of three relay races.
In the relays, Brunswick took first and second in both the 200 medley and 400 freestyle, while taking second in the 200 freestyle, missing the top spot by just .500 seconds.
In the 200 Medley Relay, the team of Alex Morgan, Thacher Scannell, Christian Farricker, and Marcus Hodgson won the relay with a time of 1:42.75, as teammates Cole Pierce, Jack Sparks, Will Powers, and Keegan Drew finished in 1:44.95.
The 400 Freestyle Relay saw the crew of Drew, Cole Pierce, Powers, and Scannell win the race (3:19.39). Second place went to the quartet of Hodgson, Farricker, Morgan, and Nico Apostolides (3:23.91).
In the individual races, Brunswick took first in seven events:
Farricker: 200 Freestyle
Pierce: 200 Individual Medley
Pierce: 100 Backstroke
Drew: 50 Freestyle
Powers: 100 Butterfly
Hodgson: 100 Freestyle
Scannell: 500 Freestyle
The Bruins head to Kent on Saturday, December 10, before the final home meet of 2016 against Loomis Chaffee on Wednesday, December 14.
