Bruins Knock Off Canadian Power Hill Academy

Brunswick hosted No.6-ranked Hill Academy from Ontario, Canada, on Wednesday on Cosby Field, with the Bruins ultimately earning their second straight win after an explosive second quarter led the way to an 18-11 victory.

The game began with Brunswick coming out strong, scoring two goals in quick succession, the first by Leo Hoffman and the second by Jackson Wolfram. The first quarter remained a close contest with both teams exchanging goals, culminating in Brunswick being up by one, 3-2, at the end of one.

In the second quarter, Brunswick's offense erupted, with five different players contributing seven goals, while the defense held Hill to just two goals. At halftime, Brunswick's defense had conceded only one 6-on-6 goal.

In the second half, Brunswick managed to maintain its lead, eventually securing the win and improving its season record to 8-3. The standout aspects of the game were the Bruins' exceptional ball movement, with 15 of 18 goals coming from assists, and their dominance at the faceoff-x, winning 24 out of 33 attempts.

Next up is a Friday-night contest against Trinity-Pawling at home. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
