The golf team improved to 9-1 by capping a busy 3-1 week of road matches with a nine-stroke victory over host Kent on Saturday at tight, twisting Candlewood Valley Country Club in New Milford.
Paced by junior medalist Will Harned's impressive one-under-par 34, the Bruins' five-score 189 aggregate was the product of some patient shotmaking and execution by Harned, along with senior tri-captain Sam O'Hara and sophomore Rocket Servick, who carded dual scores of 37, supported by senior Matteo Santulin's 40 and freshman Jack Chung's 41 on a chilly, damp afternoon where accuracy and target golf took precedence over the pursuit of distance off the tee as the squad's strategic game plan.
