Led by medalist Will Harned's one-under-par 34, all five Bruins broke 40 for an aggregate score of 187 notwithstanding that they had never seen the idiosyncratic, narrow, and target-precise Seth Raynor layout before.
Sophomore Rocket Servick capped off an excellent practice qualifier week with a 37, followed by senior Christian Close's 38, and twin 39s by seniors Fritz Smith and Andrew Stickel on an afternoon where grinding for pars and not shooting at pins for birdies would carry the day. Host Hotchkiss finished six strokes behind Salisbury in third place with 195, followed by Trinity-Pawling's 215, and Canterbury with 222.
6-0 'Wick is next in action on Monday when it travels to Long Island to play Portledge School at the historic Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley, N.Y.
