Brunswick Caps Undefeated CISL Ski Season

Brunswick won the final race of the CISL season on Thursday night at Mount Southington, capping off an undefeated regular season. 

Every member of the team stepped up his game in the absence of Ollie Leonard, one of the Bruins’ top racers. The coaches acknowledged the strong efforts from Teddy Bancroft, Ryan Warner, Matteo Santulin, and Evan Daigle, who posted fast times to help secure the victory.

The Bruins placed two individual racers in the top 10, including Patch Leonard in fourth and Cameron Shipman in fifth. The race was extremely close, and Brunswick won the team race by only 0.29 seconds over second place Weston and by 0.41 seconds over third place Wilton.

The squad will pivot to the championship portion of the race season. The racers who qualified will represent Brunswick at the NEPSAC championships at Proctor Academy in New Hampshire on February 15. The entire team will compete at the CISL State Open at Mt. Southington on February 28. And finally, P. Leonard and Shipman will travel to the High School Eastern Championships at Cannon Mountain, N.H., as members of Team CT on March 2-5.
