Six Brunswick racers competed for a spot on Team Connecticut at the Ski Racing Shootouts on Monday night at Mt. Southington.
The top 40 boys from the state — including Patch Leonard, Cameron Shipman, Ollie Leonard, Ryan Warner, Teddy Bancroft, and Evan Daigle — vied for 12 spots on Team CT. Competition was fierce and the conditions were challenging given the warm weather and soft snow.
Patch Leonard (4th) and Shipman (7th) secured their places on the team, while Ollie Leonard will be the third alternate.
Team CT will travel to the High School Eastern Championships at Cannon Mountain (NH) in March to compete against 15 other state teams and over 130 athletes in the boys division.
