Varsity squash downed Taft on Saturday afternoon in Watertown, winning by a score of 5-2.
The Bruins found themselves down early after a loss in five games at #7 and a loss by default at #4 after Cole Cline received a cut above the eye.
Oliver Velasco and Henry Raine quickly evened the tally at 2-2 with wins at #2 and #3. After that, it was all Brunswick, as Will Newman and captain Ryan Kulsakdinun notched two more wins. Will Newton put Taft away with a decisive victory at #5.
Coach Abraham had this to say about the day, “When you take into account Covid and a snowstorm, we haven’t had the chance to come to Taft in four years. It felt good to face an historic opponent again, and even better to come away from the meeting with a win.”
The Bruins are now preparing for the FAA championship, which will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at the Stephens Squash Center.
