Four Bruins won B.I.T. titles today: Enzo Vera (138 lb.), Alec Harned (144 lb.), Carlo Tucci (157 lb.), and Tomas Delgado (190 lb.) -- two freshmen and two seniors.

Vera was a finalist a year ago, but had to work hard in his semi-final match to get back there this year. Vera, the 2022 WNEISWA champion, was down 11-5 before pinning his opponent with only 29 seconds remaining in the final period, providing one of the highlights of the tournament. He earned a fourth pin on the day in the finals, bringing his record this year to 21-3 with two tournament wins.

Delgado (14-4) is now a multiple-time B.I.T. place-winner, unfortunately having to face his own classmate in the finals this year.

Tucci (17-2) won the Most Pins in the Least Time Award, one of two individual awards given annually at the tournament.

Harned (14-2) has now won his second tournament of the year.

Six other Bruins were also finalists: Silas Corveddu (106 lb.), Patrick O'Donahue (126 lb.), Michael Accetta (132 lb.), William MacGillivray (165 lb.), Emil Sogaard-Srikrishnan (175 lb.) and Vilas Sogaard-Srikrishnan (190 lb.). O'Donahue was a finalist in this tournament last year as a 9th grader. Corveddu is now a two-time B.I.T. finalist as he won last year. Accetta, MacGillivray, and Emil Sogaard-Srikrishnan are multiple time B.I.T. place-winners.

Three more members of the Bruins varsity lineup wrestled back to take 3rd place: Quinn McGraw (120 lb.), Jack Degl (150 lb.), and Michael Marini (220 lb.). Christian Yanoti (99 lb.) and Matias DeBono (113 lb.) took 4th place.

Middle School and JV entries shined today for Brunswick as Alberto Ubina (99 lb.), Jackson Shaw (113 lb.), Ethan Phelps (126 lb.), Greer Sconzo (138 lb.), Asher Benn (144 lb.), and Eric Lonnegren (175 lb.) took 5th place while Jake Greene (215 lb.) earned 6th place wrestling up a weight.
