Brunswick traveled to Salisbury on Saturday afternoon and returned home with a 64-50 victory.
The Bruins built a quick 22-9 lead as Wyatt Triestman hit two early three pointers and Malik Samms and Ethan Long swarmed the Knights on defense, forcing them into tough shots and turnovers. Salisbury would mount a comeback late in the half as the Bruins offense stalled, cutting Brunswick’s lead to five at the break, 34-29.
The Bruins responded, turning up the intensity and execution, and controlled the pace the rest of the way. Samms provided a stellar defensive performance and Triestman led the team offensively with 21 points. Jon Sigurdsson chipped in 11 and Long added 9.
Brunswick will head to Suffield on Wednesday for its first of three games next week.
