Bruins Top St. Luke's in Hoops

In a rematch of last season’s FAA Finals, Brunswick picked up a road win against St. Luke’s in New Canaan on Wednesday afternoon.

Brunswick opened the game out of rhythm offensively. St Luke’s forced them into contested shots and the Bruins open looks wouldn’t seem to drop. Some early foul trouble forced Coach Juricek into a couple quick substitutions before Brunswick found their stride, relying on ball movement and execution to build a 29-22 lead at half.

The Bruins controlled the action for most of the second half, building a 14 point lead with six minutes to play, but the Storm would not go quietly and cut the deficit to seven with just three minutes to play. With the game on the line, Brunswick rose the occasion and closed the contest out comfortably, led by Ethan Long and Wyatt Triestman, who scored 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Next up is a trip to Salisbury on January 21.
