Sailors Start Season Strong

Brunswick — along with Greenwich Academy, Greenwich High School, and Greenwich Country Day School — hosted 44 races at Indian Harbor Yacht Club on Saturday, April 2.  

The Bruins had been training hard for the event and had many highlights, led by the team’s four skippers — Robert Ulmer, Thomas Whidden, Freddie Parkin and Ben Sheppard. Their skills and determination were matched by ’Wick’s highly valued crews — Asher Lloyds, Alex Ohles, Christian Yanoti and Greer Sconzo.  

The team used superior tactics, boat speed, and boat handling to overcome eight teams to finish second behind Hotchkiss.  

Ten teams will return to the same waters this Saturday.
