Bruins Go Low in Season Opener

Led by junior Sam O'Hara's two-under par 33, the varsity golf team broke the seal on its 2022 season by firing an eye-catching five-score aggregate of 185 at the historic Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley, NY, defeating host Portledge (225). 

Following O'Hara on the 'Wick scoresheet were Christian Close (36), Fritz Smith (38), and Owen Hayes and Andrew Stickel (39).  The Bruins picked up where they left off on their spring break Florida trip with continued solid ball-striking, precise iron play, and excellent putting in chilly, windy conditions on the venerable Piping Rock layout with a statement-making performance to open the new season.
