Pombo Wins FAA Championship, Bruins Finish Second

Lucas Pombo won the FAA Championship 5K Varsity race at Sherwood Island on Monday afternoon with a time of 16:04, making him the third fastest in the history of Brunswick’s program, as the ’Wick cross country team earned second place. 

The Bruins were only 10 points behind Hopkins in the race and also finished second to the Hilltoppers for the season. 

Pombo and Nathan Lee earned All-FAA recognition, while Luke Dougherty and Carter Bagaria received Honorable Mention. In the JV race, Thomas Coughlin was recognized for his top-10 finish.
