With a questionable weather forecast in Kingston, Pa., Brunswick and Wyoming Seminary kicked off early to try and stay ahead of the predicted thunderstorms. The storms never came, but unfortunately, neither did too many points for the Bruins, as the hosts earned a 24-6 victory on Saturday.
After trading stops and field position in the first quarter, Brunswick broke through with a long pass to junior WR Jason Agudelo, and quickly followed up with a score on a short run from senior RB Chris Gaine.
Wyoming Seminary scored on a long pass to the right sideline and converted the point after to take a 7-6 lead into halftime.
The second half proved to be a somewhat sloppy one while both teams battled for field position. Ultimately, Wyoming Seminary settled on a winning game plan of running the football with both their running backs and their quarterback. Brunswick made some big plays in key situations on D, but Wyoming Seminary made just a few more en route to a 24-6 win.
’Wick hits the road again next week for a 3:30 game at Andover.
