Brunswick finished fifth at the Canterbury Invitational on Saturday, behind Hotchkiss, Loomis, Hopkins, and Deerfield.
The Bruins were led by Lucas Pombo’s third place finish overall, the best finish ever by a 'Wick runner. Pombo led the race for most of the first two miles. Nathan Lee stayed with the leaders early, in eighth place through two miles, a great performance from an eighth grader. Significant improvement from the rest of the team made for a decent showing, as the Bruins defeated Blair, Hill, Kent, Berkshire, and Westminster.
