Brunswick returned from its trip to Taft with a 1-1 record after losing 5-0 to the home team on Saturday afternoon in Watertown, Conn.
Taft had some very talented players, and as a whole, its attacking and midfield unit was really disciplined.
The Rhinos earned all of their tallies in the first frame: 5th, 15th, 27th, 31st and 44th minutes.
James Walker had a busy day in goal, and despite the score, the senior played well, making 10 saves on the day, in addition to bringing down or knocking away countless dangerous crosses and through balls.
Senior centerbacks John Dunn and Kevin Miller put in quality minutes for Brunswick in the back, in addition to sophomore Tyler Quake and 9th grader Ollie Leonard, both seeing the first varsity minutes of their career.
The Bruins hope to bounce back on Wednesday, when they host Loomis on Carroll Field.
