Brunswick traveled to Avon Old Farms for its final game of the 2021 season, falling to the Winged Beavers by a 6-4 final on Saturday.
Michael Yeager took the hill for the Bruins in their first nine inning game this season and recorded five innings of work. Yeager surrendered four runs on four hits and four walks, while striking out four. Sam Sealy came on in relief of Yeager and tossed 1.2 innings, giving up two runs on four hits, while recording two strikeouts. Riley Redahan closed out the game, pitching the final 1.1 innings, walking one and striking out one.
The Bruins recorded 11 hits on the day but struggled to knock in runs. Aidan Redahan went a perfect four-for-four, while Sealy had himself a three-for-four day including a double. Yeager, Riley Redahan, and Nick Bianco each added a single, and Adonys Guzman added a double.
The Bruins end the season with a 9-10 record overall. A strong 7-1 record in the FAA was good enough to share the league title with St. Luke's.
