Competing in a match-play format for the first and only time this season, the golf team traveled to Watertown Golf Club and swept six of seven individual matches from host Taft on Saturday.
Employing a shuffled lineup that once again showcased the team's versatility and depth, Henry Devaney (4 & 3), Christian Close (3 & 2), Owen Hayes (3 & 2), freshman Will Harned (3 & 2) in his varsity debut, Harry Bonomo (1-up), and Nick Rinaldi (2 & 1) played some of the team's best patient, strategic, and intelligent golf of the spring.
The Bruins now look forward to Monday's Hornet Invitational Tournament at New Haven CC, hosted by New England power Hamden Hall, which fell to 'Wick by a single stroke last month in New Haven.
