Bruins Shine in Second-Ever Home Track Meet

Brunswick hosted its second-ever home track meet on a beautiful Saturday spring morning, with Sacred Heart, Greenwich Academy, and Greens Farms Academy all competing. The Bruins defeated GFA 108-24, coming in first place in 12 out of 16 possible events.

Notable milestones include Lucas Pombo, who won the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m races, setting a personal record for the 1500 (4:18). Jack Michalik broke his own school record in the 400m race, setting a new time of 51.32. And Benet Polikoff won both the long jump and the javelin, throwing 122’ 9”.
