Brunswick posted a fifth-place in the men’s division at the 120th Eastern Interscholastic Swimming & Diving Championships, held at Franklin and Marshall College on Saturday. Highlighting the two-day competition for the Bruins was a first-place finish in the 200 Free Relay along with several All-American and All-American Consideration times.
Brunswick, making its fourth appearance at Easterns, finished in fifth place with 427 points, as Andover won the event with a total of 641 points. Last season the Bruins were fourth, while posting a sixth-place finish in 2018 and a seventh-place result in 2017.
Brunswick collected five new school records, four automatic All-American (AA) results and four All-American Consideration (AAC) times.
Earlier this week, the NISCA confirmed the Bruins’ 400-meter Free Relay time (3:26.41), set on December 18, 2019 at Loomis Chaffee, is a new national independent school record.
Following the event in Pennsylvania, the NEPSAC announced Brunswick is the new record holder in 200 Free Relay (1:22.28).
