Wrestlers Take Third at New Englands, Errico and Ostrover Win Titles

Luca Errico and Clayton Ostrover won individual titles at the 2020 NEISWA Tournament, as Brunswick finished third overall out of 47 teams on Saturday at the Hartford Armory.
 
Belmont Hill won the overall title with 194.5 points, while Northfield Mount Hermon took second place (184), as Brunswick collected 180.5 points for third.
 
A school-record 10 Bruins earned top-eight finishes at the tournament, while Brunswick posted its fifth consecutive top-five team result. The Bruins finished fifth last season, second in 2018, fourth in 2017 and took third overall in 2016.
 
Errico is now a two-time New England champion at 138 pounds winning the title last year, while Ostrover is a first-time winner at 195 pounds.
 
Chris Perry (145), Nick Bell (152) and Nadjingar Ngbokoli (170) each earned runner-up results. Perry and Bell are three-time New England finalists, while Ngbokoli is a two-time place winner.
 
Alex Burdick (182) finished fourth, William MacGillivray (126) was sixth, Will Donovan (160) took seventh, as Kyle Pagnani (106) and Howard Powell (285) earned eighth-place results. Donovan is now a two-time place winner at the tournament.
 
By virtue of a top-six finish, seven Brunswick wrestlers (MacGillivray, Errico, Perry, Bell, Ngbokoli, Burdick and Ostrover) will travel to Lehigh University for the National Prep Wrestling Championships. The two-day tournament begins on Friday, February 21.
